Respite Camp

Double J Respite Ranch’s Respite Camp offers a full-day, specialized short-term camp experience designed to support both children and their caregivers by providing a break from daily routines in a safe, nurturing setting.

Our camp is thoughtfully designed for children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, or medical needs. We create a structured environment where kids can enjoy fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate activities while caregivers get time to rest, recharge, or tend to other responsibilities.

Support
Every activity is tailored to meet the unique emotional and developmental needs of each camper. Programming often includes social skills building, sensory play, and consistent routines.

Trained & Compassionate Staff
Our team includes caregivers, educators, and support professionals trained in trauma-informed care, behavioral strategies, and inclusive practices.

Safe & Inclusive Environment
With low camper-to-staff ratios and calming spaces, we ensure a setting that reduces stress and supports comfort and safety.

Fun & Connection
Campers engage in outdoor play, creative expression, group games, and peer connection to build confidence and community.

Meals Included
We provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks to all campers.

Respite Care

Double J Respite Ranch’s Respite Care program provides short-term, temporary relief for primary caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, or medical needs. Whether for a few hours or a full day, our respite services ensure your child is in safe, supportive hands—giving you time to rest, attend to other responsibilities, or simply recharge.

Please note: Respite care is not available while parents are working.

Which Program Is Right for Your Family?

Respite Camp is a full-day program offered during school breaks and select Saturdays. Enrollment is required in advance, and a set schedule must be provided to secure your child’s spot.

Respite Care is a flexible, short-term option available when space allows and parents are not working during care hours.

Families are welcome to contact Double J Respite Ranch to inquire about short-notice availability or to request ongoing scheduling.

General Information

Program Hours:
All programs run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with select Saturdays also available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Enrollment Priority:
Enrollment priority is given to children enrolled in the Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program. If you are not currently a CLTS member, we’re happy to assist you with the enrollment process.
